Adventure Yoga Sustainability Retreat to Dominica with
Steve Glenn & Ted McDonald
August 15-22, 2009

This new kind of retreat, one focused equally on developing your mind and your body in order to help you create a truly 'sustainable' lifestyle. We’ve picked a place, Jungle Bay Dominica, that was rated as one of the top eco-resorts in world by Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, National Geographic Traveler and more! The lush, luxury hotel with it's 35 cabins is located on the island of Dominica. With over 289 square miles, 91 miles of coastline, 365 rivers and streams, amazing waterfalls, National Geographic Traveler rated it the most unspoiled of the Caribbean Islands.

We call this an Adventure Yoga Sustainability Retreat, because it summarizes the three major activities in which we’ll indulge. We’re going to hike to the world’s 2nd largest boiling lake; we’ll bike along mountain

trails through the rain forest; we’ll kayak through mountain lakes and along the rugged coast! In between, each day, we’ll do yoga, eat fresh mostly vegetarian foods grown at the resort, swim in their pool, and dance each night to local music. We’ll learn about renewable energy, organic farming, sustainable constructions and we’ll engage in discussions about how we can reduce our ecological footprint.

Our Tentative Schedule: We will have a multitude of excursions and activities to choose from. Jungle Bay has an amazing spa as well as plenty of outdoor activities. Make sure you come with an open mind, an openheart and patience!
